but this is a late a powerful vibration that came my way via faces from far away… simply stunning shots and deeply rooted in Japanese artistic heritage… in my opinion a true representation of Nihonga art through the photographic media…

  1. these works are amazing! i have no idea how they’ve accomplished it, but the compositions are excellent.
    i checked out more of Shinichi’s artwork, and they’re all beautiful. great find!

  2. You can see a picture of him flinging water into the air here.. so he must use a camera that is set to a timer or trigger or something…

  3. that’s so awesome.

    that reminds me of this artist who used a timer on his camera too. he stands on ladders and throws piggy banks and other glass objects down, and so i guess his camera takes the shot just before the item explodes, so it just looks like nothings holding the item together. i wish i could get you a link but i don’t have it anymore. it’s probably on mocoloco or juxtapoz (really old post).
